AFD BIBLE STUDY CURRICULUM INTRODUCTION
ย
Hello AFD Staff and Instructors! Welcome back to a new dance season! Itโs 2022!!! I know that we are all excited to start anew with a fresh new batch of students and creative ideas to make this one of the best seasons we have had thus far.ย
We will continue to incorporate a bible study portion to our classes. This portion of our classes should be no longer than 7-10 mins long and follow the curriculum outline that will be provided to you. Each month will have a theme and a memory verse for our students to learn. Although there will be brief lessons provided each week, feel free to put your own spin or twist on these lessons to make them unique and more age appropriate for your classes.ย
In addition to this new additive to your class, every first Wednesday of the month, we will be setting aside a day for corporate fasting and praying. This day will be dedicated to growing deeper in our relationship with God as well as uplifting our students in prayer. Once we have a full roster of all the AFD students that will be participating in this upcoming dance season, you can call the students out by name during your time of prayer and meditation.ย
The fast will begin at midnight Tuesday night/Wednesday morning and will last until 6pm. Although fasting usually involves the restriction of eating foods, you may opt to fast from other things such as social media, television, or anything else that you deem necessary for your spiritual growth. If you have any dietary restrictions, please consult your physician before participating in the fast. Also if you would like additional information on fasting, please let me know.ย
The upcoming fasting days are as follows:ย
January 5th
February 2nd
March 2nd
April 6th
As AFD continues to grow during this season, it is essential for us to be on one accord naturally as well as spiritually. We are believing for miracles and breakthroughs for everyone that is attached to AFD. Letโs continue to stay prayed up and on watch. I am excited to see what God has in store for AFD.ย
If you have any questions about anything, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. I promise I do not bite!ย
Let’s get ready to have an AMAZING dance season!!!!!
ย
Much love,
Mrs. Johnetta McDowell
