Intro To Dance Schedule
Our Intro to Dance class is designed for students that are ages 7 ½ and up that have little or no dance experience that are eager to explore their love for dance. This class will dive deep into the foundational skills our students need to master before they can be promoted to Levels 1/ 2. An assessment will be needed in order to promote to the next divisional level. Each student will be evaluated and placed in appropriate dance levels based on maturity and/or prior dance experience. This class is a non concert class. Students enrolled in this class will be ineligible to participate in our annual concerts so that they may focus on student development, body awareness, expressiveness, personal creativity, and technique skills as a whole.
Level 1/2 Schedule
Levels 1/2 will cover the beginning basics of dance. Each student will be evaluated and placed in appropriate dance levels based on maturity and/or prior dance experience. All students may not be at the same level in every genre of dance. Students will be advised by the director on which classes each student should enroll in after assessments have been made. An assessment will be needed in order to promote to the next divisional level. All students who have auditioned and wish to participate in our annual dance concerts must enroll in at least 2 technique classes per week in addition to Concert Rehearsal.
**Annual Dance Concert participation is optional**
Level 3/4 Schedule
Levels 3/4 will cover intermediate levels of dance. Each student will be evaluated and placed in appropriate dance levels based on maturity and/or prior dance experience. All students may not be at the same level in every genre of dance. Students will be advised by the director on which classes each student should enroll in after assessments have been made. An assessment will be needed in order to promote to the next divisional level. All students who have auditioned and wish to participate in our annual dance concerts must enroll in at least 3 technique classes per week in addition to Concert Rehearsal.
